I’m guessing the museum has rather outlived its potential market. The passage of time means that those who have any memory of WW2 or knew those who did are getting rarer. Something like the classic car market - people buy the cars they remember from their childhood and then the next generation moves on.

While it’s mostly true, there are still fans of old iron that don’t remember it from their youth. I was born in 1987, yet own a car from 1960. Also, the Call of Duty 2 crowd should be at age to buy those now I guess.
